Machine Overview

This 2004 Haas TL-3 CNC Toolroom Lathe combines manual-style operation with CNC capability for toolroom, repair, prototype, and short-run turning applications. It features a 20″ swing, 13″ swing over the cross slide, 60″ between centers, and a 3.5″ spindle bore. The spindle reaches 1,800 RPM with 18 HP, providing useful capacity for larger and longer workpieces.

The machine is equipped with a Haas 2-axis CNC control, manual handwheels, tailstock, 12″ manual chuck, 4-position quick-change tool post, gearbox, coolant system with tank and pump, work light, and chuck guard. Its 60″ center distance, large spindle bore, and combination of CNC control with familiar manual operation make the TL-3 especially useful for one-off parts, repair work, and low-volume production.
