Machine Overview
This 2013 Haas EC-1600 Horizontal Machining Center offers large travels, heavy workpiece capacity, and integrated rotary machining capability for demanding production work. It features 64″ X-axis, 50″ Y-axis, and 32″ Z-axis travels, a 36″ x 64″ table rated for up to 10,000 lbs, a 6,000 RPM CAT 50 spindle powered by a 40 HP motor, and a 30-position automatic tool changer. A built-in 30″ fourth-axis platter expands its capability for multi-sided machining of large components.
The machine is equipped with a Haas 5-axis CNC control with 15″ color LCD monitor, built-in 4th-axis platter, 5th-axis drive and wiring, Wireless Intuitive Probing System, high-speed machining, through-spindle coolant, auxiliary coolant filtration, programmable coolant nozzle, chip auger, remote jog handle, Intuitive Programming System, macros, coordinate rotation and scaling, rigid tapping, spindle orientation, Ethernet/network capability, hard drive, USB port, and 750 MB extended memory. This extensive option package makes the EC-1600 a highly capable platform for large-part horizontal machining.
